How gifts work

A creator’s wishlist contains items they’d like to receive from their viewers. Gaunt Hub lets you choose a gift from that list without seeing the creator’s delivery address.

Can I send a real gift yet?

Gifting is currently in test mode. You can try the checkout, but no money is charged and no gift is shipped.

Trying the gift checkout

  1. Open the wishlist link shared by the creator and select a gift.
  2. For a group gift, enter how much you’d like to contribute.
  3. Choose the name the creator will see and add a message if you’d like.
  4. Review the total, then select Send test gift or Send test contribution.

The creator’s delivery address

The creator’s delivery address is never shown on their wishlist, at checkout, or on your receipt. Delivery details and shipment tracking are kept private to protect the creator’s address.

Your name on stream

The name you enter is shared with the creator and may appear in stream alerts, chat or Discord. If the creator allows it, choose Gift anonymously to show Anonymous instead. The name on your payment account is never used as your public name.

Who can see my payment details?

When payments are available, the details shared with Gaunt depend on the method you choose:

  • Card — Gaunt and its payment processor may receive your billing name and postal code for fraud checks.
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay — Gaunt may receive your billing details.
  • PayPal / Venmo — Gaunt may receive your account name, email or profile details.

Anonymous gifting hides your name from the creator and audience. It does not hide your identity from Gaunt or your payment provider.

Contributing toward a gift

Some gifts let several fans contribute toward the item, tax and shipping. Each contribution includes a separate Gaunt service fee, shown in the total before you continue. Test contributions do not purchase or ship a gift, even if the displayed goal is reached.
